Hard times

I am totally dragging these past two weeks. We're studying Mexico, but not. They know where it is, but nothing about it. I'm gonna have to stay an extra week. We haven't done any of the crafts yet. We keep doing other fun things. But I'm hoping to get back to it. I'm gonna go out today and get the craft supplies, and we are gonna do them. :) I'm guessing week 6 will just take us two weeks to finish. That's the beauty of homeschooling, when life happens, we stop and pick up where we left off. I love homeschooling.

Ah, the flexibility of homeschooling is a beautiful thing... even though dragging days are never fun.

You live in America... They're gonna get to know Mexico whether you study it thoroughly or not. ;) By the time our kids are grown they will be living in Amexico!!! Hehehehe!!

So funny we were supposed to start on Mexico this week but I have put it off till next. We still had 2 chapters of kingdom Tale and 1 chapter of hero tales we needed to read form last week. Plus we are still need to do the tree identification worksheet so we are just doing a light week this week.

Dragging or not, your kids are still learning! It seems like you got a good start anyway, which allows for slow weeks. I'm so glad that I'm not the only one that has this experience. Some days/weeks run so smoothly, others don't. But that's life! We just started our first week in America. We didn't start school until after Labor Day, so we're a little behind you. And we're working on catching up with our art projects too. I find it hard to squeeze everything in sometimes.

I'm so glad other people have weeks like I do too! I like Nicole's idea of taking a light week to catch up. I think I might have to do that more than once this year!
