My room, Link restored

Blogger was being silly yesterday, when I was posting. Here is my room.

We got a new kitchen over the summer. I am sooo grateful for it. Now I have a school area. I just cleaned it today. So, now I can see the counter. :) I like it cleaned off, so we can do crafts and let them dry there, and not on the kitchen table.

I've been thinking about moving the school room to the basement, but it gets sooo cold in the winter, and I won't go down there for long periods of time. Then we'll end up up here, so I might as well stay up here.

The underneath part is the best part. It is very deep so I can fit two rows of books. The downside is that I can fit two rows of books. :) You see, when you can put that many books in there, you forget what books you have in there. So I took everything out today, and only put things we'll use this year underneath. So one the left is all of our main curriculum, reading, phonics and math. On the right is all the art stuff. That is their side. They can go into the right side anytime and make something, as long as they clean it up. The drawer also has their scissors and tape and other odds and ends. I love my space!! Thank you Hubs.

Jen that looks great! It is nice to have an area designated for school. I need to get my space organized too. It has gotten kinda messy lately. To many books and not enough room for them all!

That is great Jen, I am sure it is great that you have a designated spot in the main part of the house, Iknow it would make my life easier than running up and down, although I look at the bright side I get my exercise somewhat that way. Keep up the great work

I tried to look at this darn post about three times yesterdaY!! You make aware that I need to condense. I have sooo much that it is running out of the bins... and I have a lot of bins. I have been trying to reorganize some this week, though. Can't bear to get rid of my supplies... even though I have enough for 4 homeschool families! LOL!

Jen, your space is very nice! And having it clean certainly helps! Every time I clean up our space, it's messed up again by the end of the week. I sometimes think about making a homeschool room in the basement too, but we are blessed to have an extra bedroom on the first floor that is right across from a bathroom, which is convenient for messy art projects! And the room has two large windows that allow the natural light to flood in. So I'm not sure why I think about moving to the basement. It is cold down there & a bit on the dark side. I guess I just get bored sometimes! What I need to do is focus more on keeping our room tidy! We have collected way too much stuff. Your space is proof to me that I have way more than I need or will ever use! Thanks for posting your pictures. It looks great!!!

That looks fantastic. Organization calms the spirit, I need more of that around here :)

I have deep cupboards in our dining room that I use that are also too deep. :) I think I need to utilize my space better. Maybe a summer project? Thanks for the inspiration!
